Response to Been awhile!!

Most lilacs are hardy from zone 3-7. They really need the cold though. The Descanso hybrids however were developed in Southern Ca.and are heat tolerant- Angel White (white, fragrant), California Rose (pink, fragrant), Lavender Lady (purple, fragrant)
Don't know where you'll find them though.
