European Rowan trees are native to the cool, temperate regions of northern Europe. Here in the US their relatives are the native Mountain Ash trees.

A European Rowan tree may not be very happy in warm and humid Louisiana. They need to live in a cooler climate where they can go dormant and rest over winter.
