I have a tree in my yard with a pinkish/purple flower that reminds me of a sweat pea. The leaves are oval & opposit each other on the stem. The stem base and stem with the flowers on it is covered in red hairs. Can you tell me what it is? Can I propagate it?

A signed copy of my book, "Easy Plant Propagation" is a great gift idea!
