Response to Will deer eat young Japanese maples?

Daryl,

Japanese Maples are not one of the tastier plants, not like Burning Bush or Crabapple trees, but during the winter when deer get hungry they very well could eat just about anything. Especially when all else is snow covered.

Most nurseries have learned that the only truly effective control for deer is a good fence.
