mulch and effect of butternut trees to fruit trees

Mike,
I wonder if your book"Easy plant propagation" contains information also on mulching trees and plants? Specifically
fruit trees. Also can fruit trees and chestnut trees grow close together? I have both but at present are spaced apart.
I intend to plant more fruit trees but they will be close to the chestnut trees.
Thank you,
Frank Begani
