Deer proof ground cover seeds or plants on the internet?

Mike [sorry for the length]

I was searching the internet for Bishop's Weed & other ground cover plants, to get some seed, na da.

Any suggestions for deer proof items? My front yard is now ivy which the deer munch on - pine - live oak - redwood trees all have contributed to a substantial layer of leaves and such - what would work here? By the street it gets copious amounts of sun, the rest is shade and filtered light.

My backyard is poor, rocky soil, clay like and very compacted - slight incline - does not retain water very well. Any suggestions for ground cover here? 1/4 gets filtered light, the rest get's lots of sun.

Where can I purchase these seeds or plants?

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks - Jack - Belmont, CA
