Our silent place is our store house of consciousness, of understanding. It is the Eye of the hurricane which, while the storm rages around us, we are centered.
It is a place where one knows, for example, there is no need for forgiveness (unless it is ourselves) because one 'sees'...understands... the process of Matter being adjusted to Spirit (to use mystical terms).
The Christ's reply to the three temptations of Satan (physical, emotional and mental human nature, the three Magi, the three Apostles now transfigured) "get thee behind me Satan" is allegorically depicting our falling back on our store house of consciousness; that place to which our quality of consciousness, our Christ within, has grown to a place of controling our threefold human nature. The Transfiguration symbolises that point in our mind's maturation at which it controls the lower nature. The Crucifixion symbolises that point at which the cross upon which Christ Mind has been crucified, dies. Christ Mind, that place of peace that passes understanding. It is the cross that dies, freeing Christ Mind forever from it's tomb of the threefold human nature so that it can ascend to Father (Cosmic) consciousness. |
