Single point threading in the lathe is a very cool skill that any decent machinist must learn but I would seriously not try to thread an 8-32 single point. MAchine yourself a tailstock die holder or purchase one from Little machine shop and thread the small stuff with the dies. The real small threads deflect the workpiece too much and can be troublesome. Just my personal opinion, your mileage may vary...peace
