Response to Can we play "Guess the Parents"?

His proud dad says the following:

"The pound suggested aussie cattle dog in the background, but honestly he's not built anything like it. who knows... hound of some sort? spaniel? honestly, no one has a clue.

But as for what he's like - quiet, very smart and willing to please, very sweet-natured. In 24 hours, he's learned:

1) his name
2) to curl up in his bed in the crate (door currently still off)
3) fetch
4) sit
5) "stop" at the curb when told (is that heeling?), as well as release command "OK"

oh, and he stays off furniture without being told, and sits when we put the leash on him with us ever having told him to. he just does it. it's weird... we wonder if he's a runaway from a home, he's sort of too good to be true."

He forgot to mention how good BooZoo is at smelling suckers a mile away! My money is on American designer dog for breed. Lucky dog will work too!

They are a bit concerned about a cough the handsome fella's got, but will have him double-checked next week by a Chicago vet who just happens to be a high school friend of our son's. Chicago, like N.O., is sometimes a very small world.
