Response to Legal Theft, Texas Style

wonder why I would never want to live in Texas.

My SIL and many of her family members are still in Texas after losing everything in St. Bernard Parish. Her BIL was at my niece's wedding last March and I asked him how he liked living in TX (they bought a house). He sort of hemmed and hawed saying it was well.....ok. To which I added...."too many Texans?" He immediately said "Yeah! How'd you know."

I only spent three weeks there, and I had enough. They are the only ones with all the answers, their politics are the only correct ones, their religions are the only true ones, their state is the only one worth living in, their laws are the only ones that should be obeyed, their state is twice the size of Alaska (fa true?), yada yada yada yada.

My wind-damaged home was a Godsend when I got back.

I hope they get their poor dog back before she dies. They might have to fight the Alamo all over again.
