DWF.Com in conjunction with The Worldwide Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sports Entertainment, ranks the Top 16 Superstars in wrestling each week with POWER 16. The rankings are based on victories, quality of opponents, momentum and overall in-ring and industry dominance, as well as intangibles such as impact and making one's presence known and felt in the wrestling world.
Be sure to check back every Tuesday for the latest POWER 16. Here are the rankings for October 3, 2006:
1King Gojinn
Gojinn- Flying high at #1 King Gojinn and earning the respect of the world, Gojinn has regained his top spot and stands alone after toppling Jack E. Breaker. However, Gojinn has another battle ahead as King Cerberus is poised to kick down his door and take the #1 position. Gojinn however has another monster ready to kick down his door on top of him, Overkill.
2. Cerberus-
Cerberus - Two Kings hold the top two positions in the P16 this week as the Inferno blazes his way to the top. Can the Inferno remain red hot and dethrone King Gojinn from the top spot next week? It could happen if they can manage to work together for the #1 contendership tag championship match
3.Jack E. Breaker
Rounding off the dream team at the top, the World's superior continues to hold the P16 with an iron grip. Don't expect Jack E to be dropping out of the rankings anytime soon.
4 "The Demon"
The enigmatic "Demon" continues his reign of mind games and carnage and climbs even higher on the P16 taking out anyone that would dare speak his name. It's become a case of silencing the damned. For "The Demon" violence may not always be the best option, but it's still an option. Can he be stopped before Straight To The Grave?
5. Rick Astin
Ruling Aggression and the business, Rick Astin continues to dominate in and out of the squared circle with his impressive repertoire of moves and counter moves. This innovative maverickand crowd favorite is the Academy's man to watch.
6 Addie Hall
Gold bound and focused, Addie Hall is strutting up the P16 in grand style but standing in her way is her Aggression opponent, Ruling Rick. Can she take Rick Astin down a notch and continue her ascent? She's going to try or show Rick Astin a good example of hell hath no fury. In this case, of a woman denied.
7.El Nombre
Hardcore champion is being tested at Aggression and El Nombre is at the head of the class. Now it's the champ's move and if he plays his cards right, he will be left holding the winning hand and the hardcore gold.
8. Generation X
Racing up the rankings as he takes on some of the toughest tag teams in the industry, the Godsend knows no limits when he unleashes a flurry of hellfire and brimstone on his opponents in it's purest form. This is a man with a plan.
9.The Emerald Flame
Dwf world Tag champion and singles success, Big Joe has been ranked one of the most extreme and promising superstars in the business. Will the luck of the Irish remain with him and earn him the Undisputed title? The Academy gives an industry two thumbs up.
10.Conner Pravus
Marching fearless through the trenches of adversity, and leavin dying please in his wake, the dangerous, heart stopping, death dealer Conner Pravus is back and has begun his ascent in the rankings, coming in at the #10 spot in the P16. Deadly by design, it's all about the pain and it won't be long for the bloodiest assault in DWF history to begin
11 Amadeo
The Ultimate Enforcer and annihilater has made his first appearance in the P16 and in the Dwf. A revolutionary turned rebel, Amadeo does not go where the path leads, he creates his own and leaves a trail. For Amadeo, it's forgive your enemies, after they are slain. The Academy does not endorse the practice of slaughter.
12.Overkill
The blood thirsty Angel of Death continues to send waves of terror throughout the world and especially in the federation as he's set his sights on both Jack E. Breaker and Gojinn. How far will he take it and will he add another notch to his katana? Overkill has already made it perfectly clear that he can take them whenever he wishes. Trample the weak and hurdle the dead would be most fitting. Again the Academy does not endorse this practice.
13.Daemon Darkthorn-
Daemon Darkthorn is breaking out and busting several killer moves at Aggression and when falls count anywhere, you can bet he's going to make each and every one of them count. Right now he's counted at #13
14.Kalysto and Wyldchylde
TIE- Kalysto & Wyldchylde - Boom is slowly lighting the fuse once more and beginning their ascent up the rankings. The Academy predicts a P16 domination by this gifted duo.
15.Gideon
Showing no fear and no hesitation at the tag teams that have appeared in the #1 contendership battle, Gideon and his partner are ready to rock the tag division with divine authority.
16. Aidan O'Neil and Kevin Mckain
For forming the dream team of Cerberus and Gojinn and managing to get them to work together, brings the Strikezone general managers right into the Power 16 this week. With shocking suprises as this, what will they do next at Strikezone?
