Week 2 Power 16 Rankings for 1-17-07

by Darkside Wrestling Federation

DWF.Com in conjunction with The Worldwide Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sports Entertainment, ranks the Top 16 Superstars in wrestling each week with POWER 16. The rankings are based on victories, quality of opponents, momentum and overall in-ring and industry dominance, as well as intangibles such as impact and making one's presence known and felt in the wrestling world.

Be sure to check back every Wednesday for the latest POWER 16. Here are the rankings for January 17th, 2007:

1. Jack E. Breaker- Enjoying the lion's share of the spotlight and holding the #1 position, can the World's Superior hang on another week or will he be bumped from his lofty position?

2.Damien Death- The deadly Damien Death shoots up the P16 by becoming the NEW Hardcore champion after defeating the blonde bombshell Kalysto with a devasting sit out powerbomb he's named Final Death and if you look at the replay, that's exactly what it looks like it could cause.

3.Damage- Jumping up two spots, Mathew Damage has been putting the pedal to the metal and speeding up the P16 Can he maintain the momentum and pull off an upset victory at Aggression?

4 Rage - This superbeast has no qualms about who he destroys or how he does it. If there's a fight to be had, Rage can be found at the heart of the action and in the #4 spot on the P16 for holding and flaunting one half of the Dwf tag titles.

5 Emerald Flame- Living the vida loca, the Emerald Flame is basking in a well earned reign as the Undisputed champion. Big Joe had the opportunity to enjoy another victory in his first defense against the Wyld One and now, Joe is a very, very wanted man in both that he's holding the biggest title in the industry and is garnering all sorts of attention, the latest from the Brotherhood. Has the Emerald one just sold his soul or has he just gained himself some insurance?

6 Rick Astin - Dropping a few slots, you can believe that Rick Astin will be working his way right back up and knocking down anyone and everyone that cut him in line or merely stands in his way of world domination.

7.Nobody- Making waves and pervy faces, this demon knows how to influence world leaders and influence strippers to wear nothing but the other half of the tag championship gold. What new sins will the debonair devil come up with next?

8 Rune Nova - Wrestling extremist or schemist? Rune Nova is full of surprises as Boom found out with a rude awakening, can the Flame trust him and if so, for how long?

9.Viper - Whether you love her, hate her or just love to hate her, the venomous serpent has slithered her way into the P16 after giving Damien something to put in his pipe to smoke and wrap himself around, namely her tendrils. Then there's her commissionership, a title that you know she's going to use and abuse. What kind of trouble will it spell out for some and benefit for others? You'll have to keep up with her and find out.

10.Gojinn - Battling their way through town and through the P16, the wrestling King and the god of devastation, Red Spyder have been raising the ante and the bodycount along with their rankings using some of the most brutal measures they can think of, and it's working. Gojinn is determined to put Red back in the ground and quite possibly in more than two pieces as Red incredibly pulled himself together, literally and figuratively to come back and wreak havoc on him.

11 Red Spyder- Red never misses a beat or a lethal stroke as he's proven by not only defying death itself on two occasions, he's now defying King Gojinn on making it two notches on his belt and quite possibly getting ready to take Gojinn with him on his next trip to the hereafter. Red Spyder just wont die!

12 Kevin Mckain - Papa's got a brand new bag and a brand new attitude. What will Kevin Mckain's agenda be now that he's fully back and ready to take the federation on a wild ride? Kevin Mckain is back with a vengeance and he's not only not going to take any crap from anyone, he's ready to enforce the rules by any means necessary.

13 Kalysto- The former hardcore bombshell remains a force to be reckoned with as she and Wyldchylde take a step back to come up with a game plan to take the steam out of the Brotherhood and personally on ones such as Damien Death. Will it become mission impossible or business as usual?

14 Wyldchylde- World champion several times over and legendary in the sport among many other distinctions, the Wyld-One has had a few setbacks as of late but that's only made him hungrier and much more dangerous than before. This man is poised to unleash a hell of his making upon the federation and every superstar in it.

15 Gideon- After the winning streak that Gideon's been on, he's taken the week off to rest up and after taking a slight bump on therankings, we may see the Holy Warrior use his Redeemer's touch on himself and soar back up the rankings.

16 Bane and Darkthorn- After a successful return at Carnage, have the Legacy lost their holiday spirit after the brawl, having left nothing settled or are they simply regrouping to come back even stronger than before? Can't tell you but if these men remain consistant, they will consistantly rise even higher in the rankings.
