Determining the Missouri Hockey District Representative

Missouri Hockey is allowed to send one team to the Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget Minor and Midget Major AA USA Hockey Central District Tournament. The Missouri Hockey representative will be determined by the process below.

Twin Bridges and Missouri Hockey are hosting the Central District Tournament this year. The Central District Tournament host club (Twin Bridges) and the Affiliate (Missouri Hockey) may enter a host team at the Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget Minor and Midget Major AA level. The host team will be determined by the process below.

The Missouri Hockey League AA representative will play the Central States representative in a 2 game playoff plus mini game if needed.

A.If the Central States representative wins, they are the Missouri Hockey representative to the Central District Tournament.

1.The Missouri Hockey host team will be determined as follows:
a)If Twin Bridges finishes 1st thru 4th in the Missouri Hockey AA league, then Twin Bridges is the Missouri Hockey host team

b)If Twin Bridges does not finish 1st thru 4th in the Missouri Hockey AA league, then the Missouri Hockey AA league 1st place team is the Missouri Hockey host team. (EOS does not apply and Central States teams are not eligible)

B.If the Missouri Hockey AA representative wins, then they are the Missouri Hockey representative to the Central District Tournament.
1.The Missouri Hockey host team will be determined as follows:
c)If Twin Bridges finishes 1st thru 4th in the Missouri Hockey AA league, then Twin Bridges is the Missouri Hockey host team

d)If Twin Bridges does not finish 1st thru 4th in the Missouri Hockey AA league, then the team finishing with the highest rankings in the Missouri Hockey AA league standings is the Missouri Hockey host team. (EOS does not apply and Central States teams are not eligible)

I know for a fact twin Bridges is not hosting Regionals this year,
that info was from about 3 years ago. So does anyone know if CF is
hosting this year or not?

It is properly listed on the calendar section of the Youth Division site. Click on "Important Dates" and you will see the regional tournament is at Chesterfield this year. BTW- PW and above, no Mite or Squirt at regionals.

I believe Chesterfield is allowed to be the host team for
the tournament as long as they finish in at least 3rd place
in the division- Pee-Wee thru Midget Major AA. I may be wrong
but I believe that is how it works. Anyone else have better
info?

4th place or higher. Otherwise the division winner gets to go.

The Central District Tournament (ie Regionals) for Tier 2 will be at Chesterfield the weekend of March 20-22, 2009. This is for Pee Wee through Midget Major since that is all they do at Nationals. All the info they said about TB would apply to Chesterfield since they will be the host team. The winner between the EOS AA winner and Central States will go plus Chesterfield would go as the host as long as they finish in the top 4 of their league.

The St. Louis AAA Blues are also hosting the Tier 1 & 2 National Championship for 16U the week of April 1-5, 2009.

For Midget Minor Tier II, the winner between the CS representative and MOAM champ go directly to Nationals as the host team. That team will not participate in Regionals at CHA. I'm not exactly sure who would represent MO at Regionals in this scenario.

I don't think a CS team can be the host team.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I believe if the regular season champ and EOS champ are not one in the same they will play each other to find out who gets to play the CSDHL team. The winner of that will go.

It's on MoHockey.com 2:54 is correct.

League Champ(regular season champ) plays EOS champ (unless, of course, one team wins both)for the right to be crushed and humiliated by the Central States team.

I don't know if they are still on MoHockey.com. But, last years games were ugly some were 15-0.

2:54

You are right. The EOS tourney winner and the regular season champ play each other in a one game playoff. The winner of that game plays the central states champion (who is the team that finishes highest in the CSDHL standings in the regular season)

The missouri rep will play the csdhl team in a two game playoff format similair to midstates. Two games and if tied they play a mini-game to decide the winner.

Chesterfield is the host team. So their MOAM team would be the host representative UNLESS they are the missouri rep or do not finish in the top four of MOAM standings in the regular season. If a chesterfield team is not in the top four of standings then the highest in the standings team would be the "host" team

Really nice to send a CS states to this tourny if they dont even finish first in their league. If I understand correctly that who ever finish's higher than the other team regardless of position finished in their league goes. That is assinine!

Why are KC teams not considered for teams to represent MO at reginals? "because they suck" is not a valid reason. I would imagine if the outlaws had a team at the AA level that won their division they would have the oportunity to play the CS team. But what about a team like the stars? do they not get the oportunity? How does that work?

They play in a different region and represent the Tri States.

MO, IL, WI, Tri-States and Host teams compete at Regionals so KC is covered.

the important dates page shows Tier II Regionals at Chesterfield (3/20-3/22). No site is noted for Tier I, unless the implication is that both are at Chesterfield that weekend.

He would actually have to come out of his hole above the Olympic rink. I wonder how many ice times he will mess up at Regionals and Nationals? Or how about how many times the zamboni will break down?
