First Congrats on your win. I see that the top scorer is "Added player #1" Who is that and how are you able to add players. I thought rosters had to be set by 12/31. Not trying to start anything just curious.
Thanks

MM won again this morning.

Should give them the number 1 seed for playoffs.

Were they even that good during the CS regular season? They must be peaking at just the right time, good for them.

2nd place CSDHL regular season
didn't make Championship Game of tournament
17-4-7

according to CS website

"peaking at right time" looks correct

Plaese everyone take this the right the way but in some ways Affton MM have been very fortunate. Chicago Blues top team in C-states was elimanted by napieville in the Ilinois playoffs**. They also went 2-3 against C-field. C-field had some injuries and lost something like 4 out of 5 games at the end of the season. They beat Affton in the C S playoffs I think it was 7-2.

I'm not saying that there not a great team just a very fortunate one.

** Question why do the C S teams have a playoff against each other and Missouri doesn't. Didn't Affton play a AA team.

Because the Chicago system is stupid. As you point out, the Blues gained a regional birth because of one big game, not because of a SUSTAINED effort over the course of a year. Any team in youth hockey can come up with a win - as you point out - injuries can have a huge impact. Illness, missing players, referees, all can come into play on any given game. The Missouri system actually makes sense, measure the teams over the course of a year. Chesterfield did run into bad luck and hit a bad stretch, but at least they had 5 chances to turn it around. Affton stayed the course and survived. Last year Chesterfield did it and Affton didn't. Interestingly, I didn't hear anyone complaining about the process last year. Funny how that works. Good luck to the AAA Blues and Affton, I hope they make all of St. Louis look good on the National stage.
