| I hear rumor that Thompson Hockey owes money to several local rinks. Is the league about to fold? I know from their web sight they are still accepting fees for this spring and summer. Will the fees be returned if they can't get ice? I would think MO Hockey would have an interest in protecting their members, yet they still have a link for the Thompson League on their website. |

Be careful who you write a check to. Either play in bushenharts JV or websters summer varsity. webster usually has enough teams to give you whatever type of schedule you want. good jv teams can get a competitive schedule |

I also heard the rumor that the thompson hockey program owes alot of rinks money. I would hope that MO hockey would step in and help out the few rinks we have here instead of letting someone cheat them out of money. |

Yea, that is their mission, to make sure that rinks who extended credit to hockey leagues get paid because they didn't do their jobs and get paid in advance.
You people are from another planet. |

Or the Obama bail-out committee. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: Thompson Hockey | April 24 2009, 9:34 AM |
I don't think the point was to bail out the rinks. I think it was for MO Hockey to protect the kids. |

That is what Obama would suggest.........Have Mo. hockey pay! that's stupid. we all are Mo hockey if we have our kid's playing hockey goofball. Go after Thompson he was paid by the teams........ |

Why didn't MO. Hockey take Thompson Hockey off there web site? They were told weeks ago that their was outstanding debts Thompson Hockey was accumulating. I guess it doesn't matter is long as when players and teams register they get their cut(fees)!!!!!!! Thompson Hockey will not reimburse any players or teams. You will never see this money again, and I am not part of the physic network!!!!! |

10:07- before you give advice on website management learn how to use words in a proper sentence structure.
How would taking down a link affect anything with getting them to pay their bills or reimburse anyone for fees advanced?
Just another useless post. |

10:53 speaking of useless post- what is it with you grammar police? any time someone misspells or uses something out of context, you are all over it. i think everyone gets their point even with the grammatical errors, what is your point in always calling it out? that is more annoying than any grammatical error. |

He has tobe the grammer PO-lice since he don't know shitbout hokey! |

The point is made a little mute by the caliber of the person arguing. Dumbass arguing a dumbass point is sort of self evident but if you don't get it I don't think any response here will assist you in reaching the correct conclusion on your own.
Again, no answer to the question of how does taking down a link help get back your deposit or fees or get these rink managers paid for extending credit to a rental tenant. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: Thompson Hockey | May 11 2009, 12:52 PM |
It doesn't help at all as far as getting any money back or collecting on an ice bill. It does help as far as not having the chance to use a link for Mo Hockey to collect new deposits and fees on upcoming programs that were apparently in serious question. |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: Thompson Hockey | May 11 2009, 1:00 PM |
Google.
As if taking down the link would save somebody some dollars.
What if the league bounces back? Then the question would be why did they take the link down. Nobody knows what is going to happen so the link stays up for a few weeks longer. Big deal, non-issue, useless post. |

I would think that Mo. Hockey would want to distance itself from anyone or league that was not credible or finacally sound. |

10:07 who informed mohockey weeks ago? did someboday actualy contact them? or was it just your post here on good ol N54? |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: Thompson Hockey | May 13 2009, 12:58 PM |
Very true. Has this been sent to MoAm? |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: Thompson Hockey | May 13 2009, 1:06 PM |
Apparently someone is aware of it as midstates sent out an e-mail to all tems stating that
"Mid-States would like to explore the opportunity of possibly forming a division/league/subsidiary that would serve those formerly served by the Thompson League under similar rules and regulations that would continue to benefit teams and aid in recruitment and development of players that eventually will play for your organization."
must be some truth to this rumor |
|
Anonymous (no login) | Re: Thompson Hockey | May 15 2009, 1:28 AM |
This is no longer a rumor. There is no ice, there are no referees. Almost three hundred players have been cut off mid spring. All of them are registered with MO Hockey! Now, they should have an interest. |

What can mohockey do? It is a private league not run by mohockey so there probably not much they can do except try to get the guy to be accountable. |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: Thompson Hockey | May 28 2009, 8:13 PM |
Taking this money from all of these players for the spring season & then canceling 6 + remaining games, it is actually criminal! Say there were 10 teams that paid the league fee of even $2000 each - he basically STOLE about $10,000 since half the season was canceled. You can bet if I had stolen $10,000 from anyone or anywhere, I would be arrested. How is he getting away with this?
Actually, maybe more people would like to try it & actually make a living off of robbing people without any repercussions! Maybe I will start a league & quit my job! |

Anonymous (no login) | Re: Thompson Hockey | May 29 2009, 9:08 AM |
8:13 You have a few options
1. Your club could file a civil suit and try to reclaim money lost for those 6 games.
2. Become a criminal and steal from others as suggested.
3. Do nothing except bitch on N54 | |
