Congrats to Chris. What an awesome thing. Could someone remind me of how it works. I think by being drafted a team has your "rights" for two or three years. I remember reading the same thing when McKenna first got drafted by Nashville a while back and now he plays for Tampa Bay. Anyone know how this works? |

Baisl considred chris a liabilty and the 5th D. Only reason Henry was on that team was b/c Basil felt they needed another D.
Henry was a great player and we needed him but not b/c Chris couldn't play. Their was another player on the team he could of replaced and the team could of kept Hutton. |

Most likely never played and knew what it takes to play 60 or so games and have 100 or so practices not including working out. I myself would not have picked wideman to get drafted but you have to give it to the kid he did it and all we should say is congratulations. All the other kids didn't do as much as wides. |

I heard recently almost all D1 players get drafted at some point, but many never get signed after finishing college, anybody know the truth? |

There are a number of different paths to getting drafted OHL, CJHL, OPJHL, USHL, NAHL (rare) but a player can get drafted out of high school. Minnesota has its own self contained system where high school seems to be a pinnacle of activity | |
