While we a busy bashing each others clubs, worrying about who is recruiting players for which CS team, tryouts, and the general discontent of the youth hockey world in St. Louis, let's take a minute to think about the Ritz boy, who was going to be a Sophmore at SLUH, and was a hockey player.

While you are worrying about who did not show up for tryouts and got a spot anyway, and who is sucking up to who, be thankful your kid is still alive to get cut from a team.

One of our own was tragically killed, and we as the St. Louis hockey community need to think about how blessed we are that our kids are still here to play.

Thank you for putting things in perspective.

I am sitting here trying to think of something to say that might ease the boy's family's GREAT sorrow, but I have come to the realization that I am much to weak and ignorant to say ANYTHING better than that I pray that the Lord takes you all in his arms.

Sorry, I of course meant His arms.

What is the story here? I don't recall anything about this. Certainly condolences to the family, and w/o going into too much detail, can anyone explain what happened?

Plane crashed. Two SLUH students were killed. One was a hockey player at SLUH on the varsity team

Thanks. Definitely puts things into perspective. Lets all hug our kids a little tighter tonight, and thank God that they are safe. My best wishes to the families during this incredibly difficult time.

the dad who was killed ("Rocky" Langford) was a regular player in local men's hockey. I know he, at least, played a lot at Kirkwood. His son also perished in the accident.
