AAA Blues Players needed

I was at the rink earlier tonight and saw this ad in the latest hockey stop about AAA players needed for the Blues teams. From the Blues Board of Directors
AAA Blues Players needed

For Midget Major- We were ranked #2 in the country at the end of the season but lost again to the candymen from across the state. We thought it would be a good idea to bring old man hockey on as an assistant but he chased some good players to Jack on Gravois road. What the hell were we thinking? Don't play there, you put your clothes in a damn cubby hole for games, what the hell is up with that?

For Midget Minor-Looking for a forward who has always played defense. If that kid is big and a minor year player that would really help. Remember, big plus to play a new position after 10 years at the old position

95's- Now we dont know what is going on here. That little fuzzy dad makes more noise than Big Blacks arse after the chili buffet. We need really good players. However, if a player is too good, he will not be added to the team.

96's- looking for some out of town studs, maybe a few more kids from minnesota. Kids on the team are really concerned that their studly line mate lived somewhere else last year. No need to have missouri or illinois citizenship but third liners will give you stink eye when they head back to central states.

97's-More whiners needed from the old brown squirt days. How many of those whiners now play AAA? Yeah thats what I thought. This team so good that Walt sticks around the Lou for hockey poverty wages.

What about the 98's and 99's?

July 7 2009, 11:49 PM

I hear that the 99's didn't get nearly the players they were hoping to. Perhaps if they significantly lowered the cost and time away from school for 10 year kids they might have had a better turn out?

Gotta love this time of year. The Goofs from Gravois must be busy consuming the mushrooms under all the Buffalo crap in the pastures.

Cheer up, there are always tryouts for next season.

The 98s and 99s is where we have the best chance to launch our Milf Enhancement Consolidation Strategic Initiative. Where do we begin?

1:41 if you have to come on to N54 to ask that question, I'm confident he is NOT too good to play AAA. However I believe that question to be total BS and just a means to stir the pot.

There is a dad that has been throwing out there that his kid was only cut because he was too good. How or why he believes that, you would have to ask him.

To set the record straight no one said that their kid was too good for 95's. They picked up a few competetive players at that level. Played it safe after that not to break up the whole previous team. Ok by most-due to the fact it is a major year for CS.Does not eradicate the fact that the 95 AAA could have had a better team. Good luck to all.

going to Shattuck and playing for Shattuck are two different things. Anyone can go to CBC but making the the Midstates varsity roster is another story. If your son is truly too good for AAA, which I don't believe is actually possible, then it is time to pack the bags and move north to Canada.

So I have a question for you, what happens if your kid goes to Shattuck and is cut from that team? Just like the AAA blues, will SSM also cut him for being too good?

How do you know that? One would certainly believe that the blues would take the best players also. If the blues dont operate that way, how do you know SSM will?

Enough of the 95 complaining!!! CHA & AA vs 95 AAA

July 12 2009, 10:27 AM

OK...We all know that several of the better players were not chosen by the 95 AAA coach. Anyone that was at the tryouts knows this. Even if you take the SO CALLED BEST PLAYER out of the deal. CHA & AA CSDHL ended up with very good teams. If the rest of the AAA parents and coaches believe that they have the best team in the area then why not set up some games against CHA & AA CSDHL? Then its put up or shut up time. The AAA coach can leave his big forward CC in most of the game and finally put an end to who is better!!!One player can make a difference and CC is the one that will make this season a success for the 95 AAA Blues.

Enough of the 95 complaining!!! CHA & AA vs 95 AAA

July 12 2009, 10:33 AM

I agree when you have a player like CC that can make such an impact you can afford to take less skilled players at other positions. I would think CC is going to get a lot of playing time this season.

I would love to see games against Chesterfield, Affton & the AAA's. If anything the fans would be interesting to see.

10:27 You keep saying all the best players were not taken but you never have specifics. I know you will not name players that should not be on the team because that would be hurtful to those kids, how about mentionind those kids you believe should be on the team that is a positive message.

Isn't it pathetic that there are one, maybe two parents that banter back and forth on this subject for months on end? I suspect they not only post but respond to their own post just to keep this worthless subject going. I feel sad for their sons, but hopefully their sons are oblivious to these useless rantings....

Goalie got in by default. Conflict with other goalies made it possible for the AAA goalie to advance. Standout alright, but not in a good way.

I doubt that Gornet took 10 F's and 5 D's so the first kid wasn't included in your question. The weakest skating returning forward had lots of points last year. If he produces again, he'll get his ice.
