Nice time we had..Love the place.
Saw the band in Rotterdam on the Tuesday and Amsterdam on the Wednesday.
Serious relaxing done..We'd get up early, have breakfast, go for a walk then go back to bed
in the afternoon, so we could stay out all night..Might sound a bit arse about face way of doing
things, but we knew what we wanted to do, so..
Went to see the Paradiso were the Roses played, went to the Cannabis College
(
http://www.cannabiscollege.com) which has an indoor marijuana garden, currently growing 5 strains
of weed, with abslutely no pesticides or stuff..Such a lovely sight..And smell.
Got the train down to Rotterdam and then realised we didn't know where the venue was..We looked on a
street map and found little icons for the theatres, none of which were far away, so off we goes to
the first one..
On the way we sloped off down this street of coffeshops for a drink, and bump straight into Aziz,
Inder and Danny B..Az tells us we've walked past the venue already, and points out the tour bus..!
Head up towards the venue, then sat outside a bar in the sun..
Two minutes later, and Ian shouts 'alright Mick' totally unsurprised to see me in Holland..!
Then trots off to the coffeshop...Sarah was in the loo, and missed him..Gutted..!
Weird, weird gig..A long narrow place..Ive seen pub bands with bigger crowds..
Yeah, the place was packed, and sold out, but 250 people??
Funnily enough noone was even moving, let alone dancing, which amused Ian no end..!
We got on the wrong train coming home, and ended up further away than we shoulda been.
Arse.
So we were in Amsterdam yesterday, sat outside a bar in Leidseplein, a busy square in the Dam, and
Ian comes walking right up to me..****ing surreal.
( Sar was in the loo again..!! )
Funny though..He was looking for a pharmacy for some eye drops..
" I swear I've never been this stoned for a gig, ever.."
Heh.. Dint look it though..And his performance on both nights was top..
Maybe a little forgetful in places, but then, that's Ian innit.
The band played maybe 70-80 minutes, tops.
No encore, no Whispers in R/Dam, no Forever And A Day both nights..
I've got a setlist somewhere..I'll be doing a few pages of foto's soon, so I'll bang it up there.
Good performances though, like I say.

Melkweg ( Milky Way ) in Dam is a top place..Balconies and stuff..
After the gig, it stayed open as a club, with all Manchester tunes and stuff..Bout 50% of the people
left which made it easier to move about.
Top moments :
Mixed AK47 with Northern Lights and had to leave the bar coz Sar and me couldn't stop giggling..Got
outside to find legs had stopped working..Found the Wednesday night venue by accident, about 100
yards from our hotel.
Sat in the Melkweg with me girl, waiting for Ian Brown to come on, got a beer, just sparked up a
spliff and the dj spins Marley.
Class.
After the gig, bumped into Anja who was stood with Sean
and Maxi from Ian's band..
Dj spins extended Fools gold, and we all have a wee dance..
So I'm dancing to FG with two birds in Amsterdam, with Aziz about a foot away from me, and Ian
within shouting distance.
Don't care what anyone says, but life experiences for me.
I'll never know how much beer I had last night, but I spent about 120 Euros, which is mad for me,
coz I ain't a big drinker, but **** me, I've paid for it today..
Flight was delayed a couple of hours, but I didn't recover enough before we took off..
Flying on a hangover is baaaaaaad.
Bit to **** by mosquito's too..I mean bit to ****.
Gotta say, Amster and Rotter Dam ( Rotter especially ) has a seriously large amount of scary gangs.
New York/Bronx stylee..
Don't mind admitting there were times when I was ****ing frightened.
I mean, we got on the wrong train in R/dam and ended up at an 'end' station..No choice, had to get
off and wait for one going back the other way..
1 am and this station is full of these scary bastards..Big pants, huge gold chains, long leather
jackets or baseball jerseys, and there's these two white foreigners with 'scared to ****' written
all over their faces..!
Funny now, but not funny then..
So there ya go.
