Response to just a question bout your video of the dublin gig you video'd

Alright man..

I'll tell you how it happened..

Ian has bootlegs of most of his shows, but for whatever reason, there were a couple on the first leg of the MOTS tour that he didn't, so I sent them to him.

After the gig in Norwich on the second leg of the tour we were chatting about what bootlegs we had and liked the most and out of the blue he said
"Why don't you film one of the gigs one time, and sell it on the net..We'll split the profits 50-50..! "

I said of course, nice one..But how about 50% for you, and 50% for Sightsavers, that way no one gets pissy about where there money's going too, and it would be a great thing to do for the charity an that..
He said yeah, good idea, but make it 100% for Sightsavers..!

With that the Dublin video idea was born..
Sarah and I were AAA for the MOTS tour, so there was no need for in house permission, we just set the camera up in one of the boxes at the Olympia, got a press/photo pass and that was that..Ian had said we can do it, Retaliate First were happy with the idea, and that was that..!

Regarding permission from bands and stuff..I know there are one or two bands that encourage bootlegging and such, but ya gotta be careful..My mate was AAA and Photo-Passed for Badly Drawn Boy ( We know Matt who plays keys )and spent the gig shooting high res images and video..
Bouncers still took his camera off him and wiped the memory stick..

So yeah, best bet is to get some permission..If you don't and you get busted, it's only a DV tape innit..a fiver or so..
