yeah i know its not TSR but like me Martin is a top manchester boy remember the bass player from the Inspiral Carpets.
drinking together this afty M'tin tells me Clint and the lads(old men) are getting it together but i think it'll take a supercharged bulldozer to shift Clints fat arse.

anyroad Bez is still tyin' his laces,if you know what a mean.

I thought Clint was more than happy with his own little outfit..?
As is Tom.

It'd be interesting to see them reform I guess.

Thought they was all from Oldham..
That just Gilly is it?

well Mick i dont profess to be in the know but i was havin' a drink with M'tin in the Angel (Denton)and during our reminiscing he mentioned talk of a IC get together/reform.
the opinion i formed (rightly or wrongly)when i had a rather tenuous link with the band was that Clint had his head firmly up his arse and the personalities did not compliment each other or indeed have the same aspirations.pity dont you think?

I admire Tom inparticular, but I loved the Inspirals..Not nearly as much as the Roses, and I'm far, far less knowledgeable of them..
I met Tom recently, and he's a thouroughly nice bloke..Seen him solo too, which was also really good.

Still, like I said, a reform of sorts would be a fine thing..I personally doubt it would happen, but there ya go..

How do the members get on Steve? Have you any idea at all? I've no clue as to why they split, or how they are in each others presence etc..

The Angel..That the one in the dip?

M'tin's sound,it wouldnt be fair to comment on the other chaps.
the split ? my guess is Clint put his family before the band and who can blame him.to succeed in the filthy business called music requires a level of comittment only a few are willing to make.some of the sacrifices are beyond most of us.
you've gone too far when you're in the dip its two pubs before the dip.
what neck of the woods are you from Mick?

Agree with you there mate..

I've met Clint, Gilly and Tom on occasion, and all seemed to be sound..Gonna be different when there's different circumstances innit?

Agree with you also..The music biz is indeed ****. Having spent time around and been involved with the proceedings with various artists over the last year, I can see it's definately not all glitz and glamour.
Indeed, Steve Lowes, Ian's manager said just as much to me..It's not all it's cracked up to be, at least at this level.

I'm in Oldham mate, but bob around quite a bit..I think I know which pub yer on about..
