Manchester Music Believe Probably Fallacious Third Coming Rumour

STONE ROSES TO PLAY GLASTONBURY 2003?
There's been a lot of speculation lately, on the "will they ,won't they reform" status of Manchester's finest rock act, The Stone Roses. We can exclusively reveal, unofficially and off the record of course, that there's now more than a whisper on the street about the 'Roses taking a trip down the farm, with a triumphant return via next years Glasto' festival being slated in.
It seems that bridges are being rebuilt and old friendships rekindled as a result of a drunken encounter between John Squire and of all people, Vinnie Jones in the back of a black cab. Mix in a bigwig promoter, also in said taxi and it would seem that a reconciliation between Brown and Squire is seemingly "sorted", as we used to say.
Ancoats hero Ian Brown just gets bigger and better with each album, but chooses his touring and promotion seemingly at leisure. Mani and Primal Screams acclaimed work continues, but again at a measured pace, bar the odd spell as TV Host. With Reni reflecting on the 'success' of The Rub, which made a high profile, but doomed, assault on the industry, only Squire has been the one vocally opposing reformation after a self imposed post-Seahorses retirement.
With barriers now demolished, its clear that at least a live comeback may take place, which could inevitably fill any venue they choose. With any label on the planet and obviously Geffen still wanting payback, there's also the possibility of recording something - although any form of sound from all four of them in one room, would easily reach number one, in any case.
So for the price of a cab fare (plus tip), the greatest rock n roll band of the last 15 years may soon be gracing our eardrums once again.
