I've climbed the mountain
and I've pissed into the wind
stood on the edge and spat over
with cheeks burned on the tip of the bone
staggering home to a lover
said you're lazy,good for nothing,
so just cast their cynical spell
are they yawning down below you
smoking miles in the circular bell
joe, joe, joejoe louis how does it feel to be
joe joe joe
open your beautiful blue eyes

could this be directed at his mucker?
"want to make the next album sound like tunes just dropped from heaven"-ian brown (sommat along these lines...a'think)
kinda get a desolate feelin' from our squire
like he's been to the top and found nothin'
and in his despair he's went home to the good lady
and the good lady has encouraged him to go out and do a shift or make tunes...anythin'...to make his mark
is he relating this to his pal?
does he see his mate doing what he did (seahorses)?
brownie is tryin'(not too clearly this weather)to make positive vibes about all things 'heavenly'
and
the squire fella ain't convinced (never was?)
he's admitting that his mucker has done well
but is questioning his motivation
he's seen the down side and reckons this is where the real shit happens
(open yer beautiful blue eyes)
a'hope squire hasn't settled with the 'blues'
