just wondering if anyone on here could give me a synopsis of pink floyd. really getting into them, but dunno about who left, who sued who played the 1994 shows etc...
Started in the 1960s under Syd Barrett's leadership, in Cambridge. Name comes from two ancient bluesmen (Pink Anderson and Floyd Council). Comprised Roger Waters (bass), Rick Wright (keyboards), and Nick Mason (drums). Syd began having mental problems around 1967 (catatonia)...Dave Gilmore joined in 1968..Syd left soon after. Group unravelled in the 80s (all doing solo projects). In 1986 Roger Waters tried to sue the other members, lost, and left. In 1994 the remaining members (Gilmore, Wright and Mason) returned with The Division Bell and Pulse albums and tour. Syd's living quite a normal life now, I think.
