Fabric was ace...really brilliant night!
Brownie was well on form, lots of crowd interaction, singing was ace and the new song is a classic...I just kept thinking "This should be number one!"..not that that sort of thing matters, but it's a really strong song..good 'un for the summer. Sort of dreamy and ethereal...very atmospheric. He also did Be There, DWM and FEAR...at the end he looked like he was going to do another one..the intro sounded really good, but there may have been technical problems or something, so he didn't.
As the clocks approached midnight the atmosphere was electric! The excitement he generates (just before he comes out on stage, particularly) is totally unique...no other band or star achieves anything close! And he lives up to it, then leaves you reeling with the memory of it for days afterwards.
Someone next to me down the front was filming the whole thing, I think. Ya had to Be There!
