Seeking MCRD San Diego Senior Drill Instructor, 1968. Platoon 374, K Co., 3d RTBn, June 1968. SSGT R.J. SCHMIDT(rank 1968). Virtually tried everything to find this guy, to no avail. Hoping some people reading this either knew SCHMIDT, worked with SCHMIDT on the drill field, or know if he's still alive.
So, if any former DIs know (a) SCHMIDT's first/middle names (b) If SCHMIDT is dead, or (c) how to obtain SCHMIDT's first/middle names, I would appreciate a response to this message.
He would be about 65-68 now, is a Vietnam Veteran(66-67?), is not on the USMC retirement lists, and is(was) about 5'7", and about 180 lbs. Thank you, and hopefully someone will give me the one clue I'm missing to locate SCHMIDT, DEAD or ALIVE.
