Gentlemen,
I am in the process of writing a new book about CWO Charles R.
Jackson who served with the 4th Marines, as a battalion SgtMaj.
in Shanghai, and was later a POW for 3.5 years, working in a
mine, several hundred miles north of Tokyo.
After WWII, Jackson was stationed at MCRD, San Diego. He took
his
own life in 1971.
If there is anyone out there, who served with CWO Jackson, has
any photographs of him, or would like to comment about his
personality and professionalism, please write to me. I'm trying
to write as complete a biography of this Marine as is possible.
Standing by to receive.
Semper Fidelis,
Major B. H. "Doc" Norton, USMC, (Ret.)
