at Atsugi in 55, were you at Marine Bks or on the other side of the air field with the MAG unit? If you were at Marine Bks what was the name of the CO? He replaced Col Christie in the summer of 55, as a Mjr and made Col shortly afterword Let me know if you know thanks Ron Waight

I was at Atsugi, Mag-11 not until Nov or Dec1964, and with Mag-11, the East Camp Animals.
My first duty in Japan was with 3dMarines from Pendleton, via Kaneohe, and then to Middle Fuji. Got out of the Corps in '55, but came back in in '56, and after going through their new ITR, I went to Okinawa and found myself back at Middle Fuji by Oct 56.
I left Atsugi with the MAG-11 Post Office for DaNang, VietNam about May/Jun 65.
