Peace at any cost is a Prelude to War!
WW II G.I. FOUND ON SOUTH PACIFIC ISLAND JUST DAYS AGO!
WASHINGTON -- The discovery of a World War II soldier in the
South Pacific
just days ago has stunned Army brass who had listed the
79-year-old man as
missing in action since 1943 -- and have now launched a
nationwide search for
his son and wife!
SECRET government photo shows the elderly G.I. with a tattered
flag and the
ragged uniform he was wearing when he was found.
That's the word from author and World War II expert William
Manx, who quoted
highly placed Pentagon sources as having said the unidentified
Army sergeant
was flown to Washington under cover of darkness on May 28.
The sources went on to say that the soldier is undergoing
physical and
psychological evaluations at a private hospital in Washington.
And while the Pentagon will neither confirm nor deny it, the
G.I. is said to
be "in amazingly good health, especially for a man who spent 57
years on a
deserted island in the South Pacific."
"We have always heard stories about old Japanese soldiers being
found on
those islands from time to time but this is absolutely without
precedent,"
said Manx, whose explosive new book, Missing in Action -- What
REALLY
Happened to the Soldiers America Forgot, is scheduled for a fall
release.
"This particular soldier apparently survived the sinking of a
transport ship
in 1943 and managed to swim to an uncharted speck of land in the
Solomon
Island group," he continued.
"The Pentagon has been unusually tight-lipped. But from what I
understand, a
group of weekend adventurers found the soldier while exploring
some of the
uninhabited islands east of Papua New Guinea in late May.
1943 snapshot of the long lost G.I.'s wife and son. The picture
was taken
just weeks before the soldier was sent to the South Pacific --
and he
carefully kept it in a watertight map case for the past 57
years, sources
say.
"They took him back to Port Moresby and alerted local
authorities, who
contacted U.S. officials with news of the rescue. Within hours,
the soldier
was on his way back to the United States."
As Manx pointed out, the Pentagon declines to discuss the case
and will
neither confirm nor deny the accuracy of the author's report.
Manx himself cited "unimpeachable military sources" as having
said that the
soldier was the sole survivor of a transport ship that came
under Japanese
attack.
The G.I.'s name remains a closely guarded secret. But Manx did
manage to
obtain copies of snapshots that show the soldier in a tattered
Army uniform a
few minutes after he was found.
The author also learned that the Pentagon is launching a
hush-hush nationwide
search for the soldier's wife -- and the son he hasn't seen
since he shipped
out to the South Pacific in 1943.
"Details are sketchy at this early date, but I'm told that the
soldier
survived on coconuts, bananas and other native fruits, as well
as meat from
the fish and birds that he could catch," said Manx.
"My sources also tell me that the sergeant is somewhat agitated
and confused,
but that is to be expected. For most of us, World War II ended
in 1945.
"But this soldier was totally isolated. As far as he was
concerned, until a
few weeks ago, the war was still on."
