sure they got a lot of guns handed in , but the majority are
still out there

Bloody politicians! I know a Vietnam vet who had to surrender a
Garand he
brought back .
The Garand was captured by the Marines from the VC , and had
been supplied
by the Chinese , who captured it in Korea .
He beat a Marine Sargeant in a shooting contest at Da Nand and
won it . As
you can imagine he was mightily pissed off having to give it
up.........he
was 25 years in the Australian Army but suddenly could not be
"trusted" with
an evil , evil semi auto.
