Ray Mezo 1516200 8-5-54 to 8-4-58 Plt. 393 PISC, Then 1st ITR at Camp Geiger, C-1-2-2 at Hadnot Point till Dec. or 1955. Dec. 1955 to Dec 57 At Mardet Naples, Italy. Was upgraded to Marine Barracks in mid- 1956.Was at Bagnoli at Afsouth HQ. and at Capodichino when it was upgraded from Fashron 77 to NAF. Also was at the Hotel Tricarico in Bagnoli in 1957 just prior to returning to CONUS. A Co. SDT from Jan 1958 till separation on 8/4/58. Some of the best times of my life !! Semper Fi !! Hi Ray, Just dropped in for a moment to say that we were serving the Corps at the same time and place on two occasions, but never met. I arrived at Parris Island very early October '54 and was in MAR DET USS Antietam CVS-36 in Naples on a Med cruise in '56. Seldom do I get to say hello to anyone who was that close. Semper Fi!
