In response to your request for help, i believe i can be of service to you... Please read all of this...

i came accross your web-site, or rather WANDERED onto it.. My dad was in the Navy during the Korean War, aboard a minesweeper, which was sunk on Columbus Day, 1950.. Lucky for him, he had been "temporarily transfered" to another minesweeper, shortly before his own ship (the "Pledge") was sunk by fire from shore batteries and maybe a mine or 2... 50 years to the day later, the USS COLE had a nice hole blown in its side by terrorists, Columbus Day, 2000..

Kind of weird, eh ??

As for myself, i joined the Marines on my 17th birthday, in October of 1972, and got out on my 21st birthday, 1976, a Sgt, E-5

i've lived here in Sacramento California since 1981, and have a good background of experience in Sales... i sold life insurance and Living Trusts for several years, but took a big hit in 1993, when a chiropractor twisted too hard on my neck, herniating a disk in my neck, which pinched the nerve... Since then, i've had to take Pain Killers... like percoset...

For several years i received Social Security Disability, until a couple of years ago.. and Housing (rent) assistance through Sacramento County, until last year.. Once i saw that i was making enough money on a consistent basis, i just let my "Entitlement(?)" lapse, as i figured there were people out there that needed it a lot more than i did, and there was like a 3 or 4 year waiting list.. My Mom had been getting that, up until the day she passed away, 4 years ago, and Thank GOD it transferred to me then.

Though i have to take pain killers, i don't take them till bed time, so i can still drive during the daytime, to get around, etc..

For the last 4 years, i've been in a "Temporary" situation (employment wise) that has just dragged on... For the last year, i've been working for Home Improvement Companies, going door to door, peaking the interest of Homeowners, to get a free estimate, on what it would cost them to replace their old single pane windows, with new vinyl frame dual pane, energy-efficient windows...

Then i set an appointment for them, for our salesman to go over all that with them, and sell them their windows... The company i was working for renigged on our agreement, and underpaid me over 700 dollars, back in March... i've got a 1986 Ford Thunderbird, that'll cost me a few hundred to have the head gasket fixed, by a friend that's a good mechanic.. actually the parts will only cost like 125 bucks (head gasket, timing chain, and water pump) and i can pretty much pay him for his labor, whenever i can, whatever i can..

About a month ago, i came accross a good, high paying (1 to 2 grand a week) job, CLOSING the sale, of retirement programs to businesses, for their employees.. They even provided leads, and the Product is right up my alley.. something i'm very good at..

The program takes advantage of the "Section 125 or Cafeteria Plan" that saves the business and its employess a lot of money, since it recalculates the amount of Social Security Tax, based on earnings AFTER whatever money they didn't contribute to their plan... Since the employer has to "match" or pay the same amount (in Social Security Tax) as its employee(s), it saves them money as well...

For several months now, i've been going through through the process of putting together a "Plan", to help Veterans.. It's a very simple plan, that requires very little money, but will make a BIG difference, on a Grand Scale.. It involves contacting people to get them to donate their boat or vehicle DIRECTLY to a VETERAN that NEEDS it.. Actually, as far as the vehicle is concerned, someone could even just LEND the vehicle to such a VETERAN, like for a few weeks or a few months, till they earn and save up enough money to get their own vehicle..

For example, someone that has a spare vehicle, but it needs to get fixed, the VETERAN could have it checked out by a knowlegeable mechanic, and if it requires only a hundred or 2 to fix it, he could fix it, in return for letting the vet use it, for however long it'll take him to either buy it from the owner, or just give it back, in better working condition than it was in, when he got it..

A few years back, they asked this multi-millionaire what his secret was, of how he accumulated his wealth... Basically, he did take many losses, but they were "SMALL"... (like fires that broke out, but were "contained") and didn't wipe him out... Conversely, when he had good things happen, they were BIG, a lot bigger than any loss...

There's only 2 reasons to do anything.. Gain a Benefit, or Avoid a Loss... and people will move ten times faster, to Avoid a Loss, than they will to Gain a Benefit..

When it comes to "What can i do for someone, along the lines of making money for them (on the Internet, for example)"... i submit that, even though i don't know of any "Get Rich Quick" schemes, but i DO KNOW how to SAVE them a LOT of money.. to say the least..

There are many people (Veterans especially) out there that get hit with something negative, like being laid off, and/or having their vehicle go out on them.. and unfortunately, if their credit rating, or level of income excludes them from qualifying for a replacement vehicle... now they're REALLY in a mess..

If we can get to that Veteran, and get him the use of (or gift of) a good, reliable, and PRESENTABLE Vehicle,( when he needs it the MOST0 we may just prevent him from being homeless, which will help alleviate the burden on charitable organizations, etc... In short, it's easier and cheaper to PREVENT homelessness, than it is to deal with it later, once it's tool late..

As far as boats go, the one thing that's kept me here in Sacramento the most, is the fishing.. Big 30 to 50 pound stripped bass and salmon, as well as sturgeon, that get up to the hundreds of pounds of weight...

i used to have a nice, 21 foot cabin cruiser, that i had to sell, back in 1993, when this disability hit... Since then, it's been sheer torture, for me to drive over the bridge, at Benecia, and look down on the water, where i used to go fishing, and haven't had the boat to fish it, for the last 12 years..

Back in 1989, i took a few months off from work, and refurbished the cabin on it.. to where you didn't have to scruch over, just to sit down.... Also, in 1998, i helped to revovate another cabin cruiser... i welded in a railcar factory, and have a good background in mechanics.. i also know how to fix boat motors..

In addition to that, i built this computer, and even though i'm not "A+ Certified", i can still upgrade and fix most systems

Also, i've drafted and perfected many different phone scripts for telemarketing, and trained (very successfully) many phone solicitors, including my younger brother, who consistently and successfully kept me busy with leads and appointments for a few years.. selling life insurance, or mortgage insurance...

i've got a vast background and experience that's just going to waste right now, as i'm not doing what i LIKE to do, and am extremely qualified to do, for a living...

i owe like 4 to 5 thousand dollars, total, and don't need much to get me back on track, finally...

Right now, i'm getting ready to launch a major campaign on the internet, that's going to draw a LOT of traffic, which is where i can help you the most, like not charging you for a lifetime link, from my web-site to yours... and that is whether you can help me or not...

In addition to that, i want to get my insurance license again... as i just let it run out, back in 1993, and didn't renew it.. Back then i was going to the hospital every day or so, to get injections of demarol, in addition to the pain killers i was taking for pain..

i figure it's gonna take me a few months, ONCE i have the financial capability... to do that.. Also, i just got this Software program, to write out a business plan, and apply for a Grant..

In addition to whatever else, i used to sell advertising, and even did somw mail order business for a brief time, years ago.. i'm good at raising funds, and am privy to an awesome "system" or "method' for not only receiving money, but taking the appropriate action, to insure that those donations keep coming, even after the donor passes away..

The boat is want to build, is a cabin cruiser and/or sailboat, that has a diesel engine, air conditioning, electric winch for the anchor, insulated, with dual pane windows... but in the meantime, any boat will do.. A friend of mine has a boat right now, a nice 25 foof cabin cruiser with a new motor and delta canvas, that he'll let go for only twenty five hundred.. a steal.. that's worth a lot more than that..

Boats are important, since everyone needs a vacation, especially people down on their luck, etc.. i love the water, and i want to help VETERANS... that's just where my heart is..

Back in 1993, i was watching "Nightline", and the guy that substituted for Ted Koppel was interviewing a senator, that brought up the fact that, over 150,000 Viet Nam VETERANS had taken their own lives.. now that was a SHOCK to say the least..

A jury trial and subsequently incarcerating someone for life, costs millions of dollars, when, if a certain person would have been helped at the right time, he wouldn't have snapped, and hurt someone, and/or himself..

As far as donated vehicles and boats go, if the donor gave that directly to the person in need, then there wouldn't be the need to but a large chunk of land, to store said items..

VETERANS in NEED would simply have their name, address, and what kind of help he needs, entered into a database, where all donors would not have their name entered there.. instead, they would simply review the files themselves, and then donate that item directly to them.. The VETERANS receiving the boat or car, would not have a picture of himself, nor disclose what race and/or religion he was, in order to prevent that kind of discrimination..

i'm also "fluent" in Morse Code, and can easily teach it to anyone, to where they'll never forget it..

As i look over this e-mail (before i send it) i hope i haven't come across the wrong way... just that this is my dream... and if it only makes the difference of ONE person, NOT taking their own life and/or other people, then this is a success... as far as i'm concerned..

For right now, i am in desperate need myself, but not to the point that it will require 10 thousand dollars or more.. i haven't paid rent for March yet,so that makes me 3 months behind, along with the fact that i need to get my car fixed, or get another one altogether, AND have some operating cash on hand, to get me by, till i get situated, with that new job...

Several years ago, there was a time when i was making 2 to 3 thousand a week, which is my "Comfort Zone"...

Back when i was selling advertizing, i came up with a good slogan, that was a smash hit, for the business that i signed up to advertise... \

What's the POINT??

Well, one of my hopes, is that i could run into the President
of a company DIRECTLY, and create a good, highly profitable ad campaign, or even just a slogan or jingle, and say, "Hey, the best deal out there for you, out of all the advertising agencies, will run you, say, a million dollars...

Which is where i can help the most, doing that job for you on straight commission, and you won't have to pay me a dime, unless, and UNTIL i come through for you.. and will only charge you HALF a million..

Am i stated for an absolute fact that i can DO a better job, than any advertising agency out there, no...

What i AM stating, is that there is a VERY STRONG PROBABILITY that i can, and at the very least, i deserve a chance at least...

What is in my heart, is what i will end up doing, given the right opportunity.. and that is launching this program for needy veterans..

It is a DISGRACE, AND a DISHONOR, when a needy veteran sees some draft dodging jerk, driving a new car, with a nice job, a nice house, a loving wife, etc.. that he himself MAY have accumulated by now, if he hadn't gone to the Nam, and had his mind and disposition all messed up.. That was and still is the "MindSet" of many Nam Veterans, today..

Sorry i'm skipping around here, but i'm trying to cover everything..

In addition to all else i've done, i also helped some people get back money they lost in an insurance policy, AFTER every lawyer they sought out, told them they couldn"t or wouldn't help themat all..

Right now, my POINT is, that (laying aside all modesty) i cast a lot of bread on the water, so to speak, and now, when i need it the most, we'll soon see how much, and how soon that will come back to me..

In regards to that $2,700.00 i helped those people get back from the insurance policy, i'd have to rclate that to a quarterback, that's throwing a pass downfield...

Ideally, he'll have enough time to throw a good pass, right on the money, AND have the time to dodge a defensive player from the other team, before he gets hammered.. Still, his emphasis is on winning the game, even if his own safety is at risk...

Just like that quarterback, i helped certain people out, and it ended up costing me over 10 grand.. when the snake i was working for, got wind of it, and cancelled out all the insurance sales i made, and had the Insurance Company RE-Issue new Policies.. The same contract, provision wise, just with a new policy number.

Sorry i've written so much, concerning my own situation, i'd like to know more, about what you are doing now, along the lines of preserving history, just the way it is, that's something i wholeheartedly agree with..

When it comes to history, you might say that i'm a World War Two history buff... The History Channel is my favorite channel.. There's an AWESOME amount of programs that i would LOVE to get, concerning that, once i get the money..

Of major concern to me, is the fact that many WW2 veterans are dying off every day, and i have a plan, to see to it that their dreams are passed on, to the next generation.. in the right manner..

For right now, it would suffice to say that we have mutual interests, and that i will help you as much as i can, given my limited resources.. If you know of anyone that could help me, (however "small" the amount) it would be greatly appreciated... even if it's just a phone call to the right person...

In conjunction to all of this, i have some good ideas on how to DRASTICALLY CUT WASTE, AND form some kind of liason, where elderly veterans could volunteer their time, like mentors to the young generation.. It's a crying shame that such veterans have so much knowlege, experience, and advise that they could be passing on to that young generation, were they able to have someone set that up for them...

FLEXIBILITY is my emphasis is on now, as i can either start my own organization, and/or make use of my skills, in another way, like say, as an advisor, or consultant... In any event, BOTTOM LINE is that i need an infusion, to clear, and restart myself, free of old, burdensome problems, that have been impeding my "progress"

My name is Curtiss Lukers, and phone number is 916-369-7803, email cglukers@cwo.com .... Please call me ASAP... please..

If you were to ask me, just how bad my "needs' are, i'd have to
say,
"Do the words, "BROKEN ARROW" mean anything to you?"
