Dinner that's for the dogs Portland may be one of the dog-friendliest cities around, but it's still a far cry from Paris, where dining with your pooch -- at the table -- is de rigueur. Sunday, Aug. 19, you can pretend you're in the City of Lights at the second annual Dog Day of Summer fundraiser at Jake's Famous Crawfish. While you and your pet dine outside, you both can enjoy a three-course meal. Your dog even gets to take home a doggie bag of gifts from local retailers. Seatings, which fill up fast, are from 3 to 10 p.m. and cost $50 per person, which includes the meal for your dog(s). Proceeds go to DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital. Jake's is at 401 S.W. 12th Ave. Call 503-226-1419 for reservations.
