Does anyone truly think this will win Best Animated Film. I do (BIG SIMPSON FAN), the only real competition is Ratatouille because the rest is really crap.

I don't think it will win but I'm still excited to see it. I LOVE THE SIMPSONS!!! Even more than Family Guy, South Park or Robot Chicken.

Coming in July
"Good Morning, Ladies"
Winner of 2 Festival Awards
Best Actress (Megan Mullally) and
Best Supporting Actress (Kristin Chenoweth)

Unless The Simpsons Movie manages to get better reviews and box office than Ratatouille--which won't happen--it'll have to settle for a nominee. Still, this is my most anticipated film of all time. I would love to see it win an Oscar, even if it's crap (which won't happen, right? right).

Although it used to be a classic, the show hit rock-bottom about three years ago and it hasn't recovered. Plus, the trailer looks like crap - the animation is ugly, the one-liners aren't funny, and seeing Homer being knocked around b/w a rock and "A Hard Place" just mad me sad. "The Simpsons" should end now and save whatever dignity it has left.

I honestly don't get why there's an anti-Simpsons wave. Every other thread on its IMDb board says OH MY GOD THIS MOVIE WILL SUCK!!

100% on rottentomatoes with an 8.2/10 average! Gees, maybe I was wrong about this film.

YES! I knew that it would be a success! We'll see on Friday if it was worth the wait (and, if the reviews are any way of judging it, it was).

It's at 89% now. I saw it and it was great. Definetly worth at least a nomination now.

I love the Simpsons and hope it wins. But I thought BEOWULF wasn't allowed to be entered in that category after the academy passed the rule were there could be no motion capture.

the film was decent but i felt like i had seen half the jokes in the trailers. therefore, half my laughs were nothing new. they were just kinda a reminder of what i'd already seen. FOX really should have cut down on ads, they were unneccessary given the film was bound to succeed given the cartoon's enormous following
