I hearing Robert Downey Jr's role in The Soloist is actually leading...saying it's larger then Jamie Foxx's role. They may push him in the already crowded Best Actor category. Hmmm...

DARK HORSE
It will either be James Franco or Emile Hirsch that are recognized behind Brolin as Supporting Actors in Milk. The category is weak enough for two nominees from the same film at this point, but will they give it to the guy that was completely snubbed last year for Into the Wild? or the hilarious stoner/dealing switching into the gay lover of a mayor? Time will only tell, or god help us if Milk fails horribly.

Adrian, the studio has stated Michael Sheen is being put in lead category as he should be he has more screentime the Langella does but Langella is still being put in lead as well...I really want whoever is doing Doubt(Focus Features?) to put theres up because Hoffman's placement is gonna effec ta lot in this race...he is Ledger's onlycompetition and I dont think hes even much of one but it will still effect the race greatly.

Usually Supp Actor is my favorite category there are always sooo many contenders this year though...its looking dry, Ledger is jsut making everyone else look bad...I really cant see anyone wining but him and quite frankly apart from Brolin in Milk and Hoffman in Doubt I am not looking forward to any supp performanaces a great amount this year...I have a feeling that at the end of the year Eckhart will still be in my personal top 5 hes still at 2 right now just behind Ledger...
