I just finished watching the Lifetime network film "Prayers for Bobby." The film itself is a run of the mill Lifetime film. But Sigourney Weaver is superb and is an obvious contender for Best Lead Actress in a miniseries or tv movie and honestly no matter how good the performances of her fellow contenders I can't see any television performance in the coming year that will be better.

I agree. Sigourney just blew me away. Myself being gay, I was so against her character during the first half of the film, but when her son died, that's when the fireworks of this spectacular performance started. I have never cried so much during a movie in my life. I cried when she ran to the bathroom to sit on the floor and cry while the faucet ran, I cried when she broke down to the priest after standing in the rain, I cried when she stood up at the board meeting to tell her story, and I cried when she went to hug that young man. It was just such a powerful performance. This lady deserves the Emmy hands down. I hope Lifetime can get it's first Lead Actress Emmy win this year.

It was a tour de force by a great actress. I can't believe this woman has never taken home an oscar. She's brilliant in this and should get the Emmy.
