My thoughts were how did Lost get a best drama nomination? That was by far the worst season on that show. Was it not a good year for TV? I thought Season 7 of 24 was much more compelling then Season 5 of Lost.
I'm real glad to see Cherry Jones win. Lots of great moments with her. I'm also glad to see Michael Emerson win but not because of his performance on season 5. But season 3 and 4 he was just so masterful. This season, not so much, so I look at this win as an acknowledgement for his past work on the show.

I agree about Sigourney Weaver. What is it about her that turns voters off? She should have an oscar already!
So happy Kristin Chenoweth won! But honestly i love every single actress in her category & would have been happy for any of them to take it home.
I HATE 2 and half men with every fiber of my being and was so pissed jon cryer won. Neil Patrick Harris should have won. Love the HIMYM. Love him. Loved him hosting.
Also pumped for Toni Collette. Here's hoping Tara makes a stronger showing at next years ceremony. Esp. Rosemarie Dewitt. Love love love her!

I really start to believe in some sort of conspiracy theory. She is always overlooked! I hope she will win the Golden Globe or the SAG at least for Prayers for Bobby!

I was actually really happy with most of the Emmy wins. My 2 cents...
It made me so happy to see Kristin Chenoweth, Toni Collette, Glenn Close, and Alec Baldwin win.
I loved Drew Barrymore, Jessica Lange, and Sigourney Weaver and I would've been happy with any of them winning.
Neil Patrick Harris was robbed, but I still loved him as the host. Not a fan of "Two and a Half Men" so that sort of pissed me off. If not NPH, could we have at least had Rainn Wilson?
Did anyone else get really sick of "Little Dorrit" by the time those miniseries categories were up? It just looked so...blah.
I really wanted to see Marcia Gay Harden get her triple crown but it wasn't an amazing (or good) performance so I'm glad we can wait until she gets her own series or something.
Glenn Close: 3 Tonys. 3 Emmys. Come on, Oscar.

The only real win that thrilled me for the night was Shoreh Aghdashloo for "House of Saddam." I predicted her but most of the sites were not, I think her win was more of a payback for not being nominated in 2004 for "24" but never the less it was still a stoundout performance. I also see her potential at being a dark horse contender this year for The Stoning of Soraya M. It could be a payback Oscar for AMPAS awarding Renee Zellweger over her in 2003. I was a little shocked that Sigourney Weaver lost, I really thought that Barrymore and Lange were going to suffer a vote split. Orignally I thought HBO was going to push Lange Supporting and Barrymore Lead so both would have had a high chance of winning. But Weaver was the best of the five and should have won. Thrilled that Ellen Burstyn finally got her emmy after five nods. No surprise for the 30 Rock crowd, I did predict Jack McBrayer though over Cryer (what a joke!) McBrayer will get one though one day. I also was a bit surprised that Glenn Close won again, I had a gut feeling that Kyra Sedgwick was going to finally get it this year. Glad Cherry Jones won, surprised but glad. And sorry, I just don't get the Chenoweth craze, Elizabeth Perkins had the best submitted material out of the five, and she should have finally won. Was surprised that Toni Collette won, but very happy, love her show. I agree with a previous poster about Rosemarie Dewitt though too. Hopefully next year.
