AKC Obedience Committee requesting input on proposed new regulations

For all you obedience enthusiasts like myself may want to know that AKC has some new regulations and ideas in the works for both regular and non-regular classes.
One thing that is kind of exciting is that they are wanting to make the non-regular classes now a TITLE class...so you could get a BN before your CD. These in-between classes would be optional thus be renamed as Optional Title Class or something like that. Also they are wanting to change the heeling patterns to include more of the Rally lingo/exercises with the pivots, degree turns, etc. The Beginner Novice Class formerly Pre-Novice class would have signs in the heel pattern similar to Rally with degree turns.
AKC is requesting input so if you have an opinion on the proposed new AKC Obedience regulations be sure to email the committee.
Above is the link so that you can read all the proposed changes.
Someone like me who is clumsy with two left feet might have trouble with all the rally turns but I like a challenge. I would just like to see more shows offer non-regular classes regularly so that maybe more people would take an interest in Obedience....it is strict...and precise but trust me when you and your canine partner are working as a team it is the greatest feeling :0)
Hope to see you out at DogTown or at the shows. Sandy and I are going to get our feet wet and are taking the plunge on Monday at Rose City with our first Open entry. Also there are going to be a lot of new DogTown dogsand handlers entering their first time at an AKC show for example Jewel& Anne-Marie, Vixen-Jody, Jacks&Alexis, and some others that I'm sure I've fogotten so I appologize in advance for that.
