I cannot offer any information at this stage to help with your search for info on your g/father Kenneth Bancroft.
I have lots of info on Bancrofts from Halifax, but this relates to an earlier period.
If you find anything further back on him, let me know and I will have another look at my records.
I suggest your next step might be to apply for a copy of Kenneth's birth certificate, as this will show details of exactly where he was born in Halifax, and who both his parents were.
As you already have his exact date of birth, and know the town where he was born, this should be easy to obtain from the registy office in Halifax.
