I am trying to trace my roots.
I have not got a lot to go on.
My grandfather arrived in South Africa from England possibly in the 1880/1890s. He settled in Grahamstown. His names were WILLIAM JOHN ???JOSEPH???.
He married CATHERINE ROSSABELLA KELLY. SHE WAS BORN in the Cape Province South Africa.
They had th`e following offspring: Gilbert, John(Johnny), Albert, Mary, Hiram Edward, Ellen, Sarah(Sally) and Michael Vintcent(Mike) my father.
According to my Dad,who has since passed on, his fathers two brothers left for USA and Australia also about the 1880/1890s.
