Hi Members, If you were really getting Confused let’s have a look on this comparision on between TATA SKY v/s DISH TV….choose accordingly.Let me help in comparing both of them and you choose which one is better.
Economic: – Dish TV is more economical than tatasky and having better offer “FREE BHI ZYADA BHI”. Currently while tatasky is providing 3mnths free viewing (or 5 mnths for 2nd/3rd TV), Dishtv provides 6 mnth free viewing on 1st connection and 1 year for 2nd connection.(both at   Rs.3990).

Channels and Channel Quality: – No. of Channels provided by Dish TV is 170 (video and Audio) But in Tata Sky it was far less approx 110 channels. And channel quality of Dish TV and Tata Sky are far better than cable wallas. Even Dish TV has slight edge on this as the picture quality of Zee channels on Tata Sky is poor.

Packages:- Dish TV has more and better options in choosing packages and really cares for customers money. E.g. No of channels given in Dish TV were almost doubled than Tata Sky for a sum of Rs.300.Further you can have choice of your to choose any package like maxi, welcome etc.

After Sales Service:- Both have almost same But now Dish TV is going up Sales Services and Tata sky is going down.

Payment Option:- Dishtv has more payment option as compared with Tatasky and are more convenient.

Active Service:- I think Dish TV is having upper hand on this by proving more number of active services. Eg Movie on demand, active sports,news games…etc.

Regional Services:- Dish tv has a great advantage here by providing regional services for all over India for all customer like telugu, tamil bangali, Punjabi…etc.

So overall what I suggest is Dish TV now has more advantages then Tata Sky. And value for your money.

I want to give the message that, DISH TV has not provided SANSKAR AND E.TV.BIHAR CHANNEL FROM LAST NINE TO TEN MONTHS. I had many time requested for the said channels. But there is not response for customers. TATASKY has provided the above channels. So, I think that, I also purchase TATASKLY as early as possible.

Today tata sky announce slash in their stb price by 50% from Rs.3999 to Rs.1499 but the fact is this now they are Rs.300 costlier then previous offer also hiding the fact with customers that Rs.1000 will be charges extra as intallation and their 6 months free offer will also be withdrawn ...so in a way they are just cheating with the customers and just playing with their money.

Its very bad on their part. their new ad rightly said kasam se jhoot nahi bol raha......but they are just lying and hiding information, " Kasam kha kar bhi jhoot bolte hain.".

I am wondering why both Tata Sky and Dish Tv are not providing Peace Tv. PEACE TV is Mumbai based "FREE TO AIR" Channel. Neither 'TataSky & DishTV' nor Subscriber has to PAY ANY EXTRA MONEY for Peace Tv. And each and every Indian has a right to watch it. Really, Providing Peace Tv will surely Boost the sales of the providers by more than 20%(via Muslim Community ).

I have seen some information in some sites about sun direct STB'S,

1. They are not interoperable with other dth services.
2. They are not following BI Standards and Govt norms.
3. They have got license for MPEG2 but running with MPEG4.
4. All this because they are in power in south and they have made political pressure on govt.
5. Their stb's are sub standard, as they are providing it for free and how can any company will afford such a huge loss as they have purchased it.

My question is if all its true and i think its true (90%), then why not govt told them to stop their transmission and if they want to continue then go as per govt norms and standards. as other dth are also their in market since long time and following those standards.

its really very bad on the part of sun dth , and i suppose they are just cheating with govt and playing with govt due to heavy influence in politics
