Shouldn't be a problem to slide out the old rear sight and replace with adjustable, either Ruger or another manufacturer. What MIGHT be a problem is replacing the FRONT sight. I think you'll find the adjustable sight much higher than the current fixed sight and the gun will shoot too high to be adjusted for, unless you also replace the front sight with a taller one.
