After taking it apart again and carefully studying where the receiver and frame hole intersect, I've found a slight misalignment. This misalignment isn't much, maybe .005 but is enough to make the pin hard to insert and extract. The receiver is as far back as it can go in the frame and won't go any farther. Will have to call Ruger tomorrow and see what they have to say.
