Bullseye,

I find your comments very interesting as well.
My comments on the Mark 1 comes from my own personal experience.
As to my statements about the Mark 2, all my comments have come from the observations made from the experiences of others as stated in their previous posts.

I have not tried to negate (deny) anything anyone had said on this forum.

Here are some of my statements:
There is post after post about jamming.
There is post after post about trigger replacement.
There are a lot of posts about damaging the Mark 2 pistols just by dry firing them.
The cleaning of the newer pistols takes on a new light in this forum.

Are you denying (negating) my observations about the subjects of the posts I have read in This Forum?
If so, you might consider going back and reviewing some of the past posts in this forum.
I know I have only read 59 out of the 94 pages of posts but there is more than sufficient posts in what I have read to make an observation of a pattern of problems associated with the Mark 2 as stated by the owners of the Mark 2.

I did not state the Mark 2 had any problems.
What I did was ask about the problems associated with the Mark 2.
My statements made in conjunction with the Mark 2 questions was in regards to my experiences with my Mark 1 as compared to the experiences stated by the owners of the Mark 2.

As to my statements regarding my experiences with the Mark 1 I stand behind them.
As to what others have said in their posts, you will have to be your own judge.

After what I have read about the Mark 2 or Mark 1 pistols I feel I own a very good Mark 1 pistol.
My pistol was made in 1976.
In regards to your comments about your Mark 1 pistol. A six-pound trigger pull is not what I would want in a target pistol. I do not know what a normal (factory) trigger pull is.
My pistol has a 2 lb pull and has not been modified as I stated.
A good armorer could spot something like that and I was a very good armorer.
As far as comments about trigger pull, there have been a lot of posts about the trigger pull on the Mark 2. So far I have not read much about a comparison between different Mark 1 pistols.
I am not sure if I read any posts comparing the triggers of a Mark 2 Vs a Mark 1.
If you know of any such posts please feel free to tell me the post numbers.

And one last thing about all the cleaning posts.
As any good armorer will tell you, “Clean it! You might need it!”
