I prefer the stock trigger, because it's serrated. I did drill and tap the middle and installed a stop screw though. I tried the Volquartsen trigger, found it to be to wide. Trigger finger placement was'nt right, so I was pushing the gun off target as I pulled the trigger. I bevelled the edges on it and even roughed up the center with a 60 grit drum sander and that helped. But, I still went back to the modified stock trigger.
If you trim the stop screw with a file. Flatten the head where the hex head wrench goes in (usually has a sharp edge). Then trim it for length on the other end so it fits flat with the trigger face it makes it much more comfortable.
Side play you can install shims for that. I know they make them to tune the Smith and Wesson revolvers, they maybe called bearings. I believe Power Custom makes them, they run about 2 bucks apiece.
