I was looking for a 512, when I found a decent deal on the 678... I originally thought that that would be too long, but after holding it I liked it. It is a bit barrel heavy for my girlfriend, but I really don't notice it to much. Most seem to like the balance of the 512 a little better (talking about bull barrels here) and I have yet to hear of any convincing difference in accuracy...
