Hey, it's a match pistol, it doesn't have to look good!
The light reflected off the palm rest base funny. The finish is not really rubbed bare like it appears in the picture.
I have kind of a big hand and I changed the grip angle to give me the same angle and feel of the 1911.
I bought a set of checkering tools and as soon as I master their application, I'll checker the rear and side panels of this custom grip. By the time I finish these, they will be similar to a pair of top-of-the-line Herrett's custom made grips and cost me a fraction of the price.
