Because I wanted option of a sound suppressor up front.
Having another inch of SS bbl would make it unduly nose
heavy, I thought. So far, I have enjoyed the compactness
of the 5.5" bbl with or w/o the can. Holsters nice and
neat as well. I enjoyed working on firearms so the lower
expense was acceptable and I just worked on lightening
the trigger myself.
