22/45 target trigger - how to?

I have a 22/45 that has excessive trigger overtravel that I would like to fix. I don't care for the aftermarket triggers with a setscrew in the trigger face. Can the stock trigger be modified, similiar to the Riger factory adjustable target trigger, or could a Ruger factory target trigger be installed?
