Clark Custom Guns sells a weaver mount for Ruger that does not require the removal of the rear sight. That way, if the battery on your dot goes south, take it off and shoot iron. It has happened to me and is an easy change over, although I am not too good with the iron after relying on the dot so long. (Clark also has a bunch of other Ruger goodies)
